The Breathing Mask, 2021
This artwork is the result of my art residency at L'Elba del Vicino in 2021, in L'Isola dell'Elba, Italy. The project aimed to highlight the issues of freedom deprivation and emotional expression caused by the constant use of facemasks. The film is based on the collective comic that the kids in the residence drew. We used the comic as a screenplay, turning kids into the heroes of their own stories.
