I'm a multidisciplinary artist (performer, photographer, video artist, and writer) originally from Ukraine, based in Slovakia. I've been living 'two lives' since 2006, when I started studying psychology in Ukraine and also opened my dance class group. For the next 17 years, I continued my psychological path through transformational coaching and somatic and spiritual practices, evolving simultaneously across many areas, including scriptwriting, film direction, writing, photography, painting, dance, music, and performance.
I worked with many media since 2014, but only writing, video, photography, and performance remained my focus. Through my transformative journey and healing until 2023, I came to understand that I'm in love with imperfect, strange, bold, spicy, and unapologetically strange art: noisy, misfocused photos, strange body positions, rough-cut, flashy, multi-frame videos, deeply emotional, non-beautiful, and shockingly human performances. It has to be fueled by pure improvisation and mind-free flow because it's the unique place that makes sense to me on this planet. I feel my art is the expression of a soul that has freed itself from social expectations, beliefs, and generational traumas.
Since 2019, I haven't known how to unite art and psychology, and I've taken numerous courses on soul mission and Ikigai. That's why I was living 'two lives' - I was doing writing and coaching jobs during the day and making art in the evenings and on weekends, hoping to find a golden mean between art and psychology. That's when I decided to start studying Art Therapy in Visual Arts. Even though some of that knowledge helped shape me as an artist, I missed the direction and active participation, which are not acceptable for the role of an art therapist; art therapists are facilitators and observers, not creators.
The first art + psyche mix started to appear in my films. Performance gave me the tools to express and demonstrate healing in real time, while music production and sound performance helped me touch others emotionally, wordlessly. By producing my album Garage Renaissance I fully embraced myself as an impromusician.
A big part of my power and the selection of topics for my art comes from my traumatic childhood and recently pre-diagnosed autism with a possible ADHD.
When I write projects, it's crucial for me to create something that resonates with people's values and mindset, or even triggers the way they live, feel, and treat things and others; I believe that psychologically and emotionally charged art is the most effective way to wake people and humanity up.
My art (photography, paintings, films, performances) has been screened and exhibited in Moldova, Brazil, Chile, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, and the USA.
In 2025, I published a self-coaching memoir titled 365 Days of Love: How to Self-love Without Money, Mission, and Myself, which I wrote during one of my most difficult periods of depression.
